We have exact travel dates and tickets!! We will be leaving San Diego bright and early on January 30th!! We will get to meet Elias a day earlier than we thought on Sunday, February 1st!!! We will be returning Monday, February 9th at 10:26pm, United Airlines flight #0651. Friends and family are invited to greet the THREE of us at the airport - we would love to see you there!
Side note: We are very thankful that God has provided AMAZING airfare...in fact the best prices seen by our travel agent in the past decade!!! This means we have 100% of what we need for travel expenses!!!! The only downside is we will be cutting our connecting flight home from Chicago to San Diego very short...so if you are planning on meeting us at the airport you may want to touch base with our family first to make sure we made it ok.
DONATIONS NEEDED!
We have recently been made aware of the formula shortage in Ethiopia because the birr (Ethiopian currency) has lost value due to the downturn in the Ethiopian economy. Because of this trading with the Middle East, the normal source of formula, has been hampered. This has resulted in a shortage of formula in the country and more specifically, dear to our hearts, the orphanages. If you want to purchase powdered formula (no liquid!), specifically up to about 12 months of age, you can give it to me (Autumn). If you are further away, email me at autumn_gossett at yahoo dot com and I can give you my address. Since this crisis is so severe we will not be using up space on other donated items and will be using every extra pound specifically to take formula. We are especially grateful to those who donate since our son is currently living off of the donations of those before us. HH will make sure they have what they need and then they will share with other orphanages in the area. We will be bringing any and all formula we receive prior to our departure, although we ask you get it to us as soon as possible for packing purposes.If you know Emily and would like to send her some gifts here is a list of items she would like:

Salty Snacks (chips, nuts, crackers, etc)
Dry Sauce Packets (alfredo, pesto, etc)

This is just amazing! I'm so glad you already have all your funding and that you were able to get such fantastic prices! Also, I am thrilled you are getting Elias a day early. What a blessing, to meet him on the Lord's day. February 1 seems like a great day to meet your son!!! Congratulations again!

does the formula need to be sealed/new? people frequently try a new formula and don't keep using it, then don't know what to do with it... you know? let me know.
